PMI Manitoba promotes the project management
PMI Manitoba Bylaw Change Proposal.
Full details of the proposed changes are outlined in the attached documents (links below).
This email represents the notification to the members of the upcoming vote on the proposed changes as required by PMI Global and our current bylaws.
Voting for this proposed change will happen between September 19, 2014 and October 3, 2014. A separate email will follow with voting instructions. Results of the voting will be communicated at the October 7 chapter meeting.
Following the September 2, 2014 chapter meeting, board members will be available to answer questions in person on this proposed change.

PMI Manitoba will be hosting a panel discussion entitled, “Project Management Professionals Provoke, Prod and Pursue, and Provide Promising Perspectives.
Project Management is one of the world’s oldest professions as evidenced by the Pyramids, wonders of the world and ancient cities. PMI, the certifying body for Project Management Professionals defines best practices and offers resources to project management professionals as they seek to improve and succeed through lessons learned and applied.
Our panel of expert PMP’s will present a range of ideas and tools to guide you in your approach to improved project outcomes. We will host an open discussion on topics that include risk assessment and responses, stakeholder management, the role of the sponsor and managing expectations. Come prepared to expand your toolkit and share your ideas with others.
Session Fee: $40 - PMI Members, $50 Non-Members

This is the second annual Manitoba Building Expo – a full day event dedicated entirely to designing, building, and managing commercial and institutional buildings. This event is a joint effort of the Winnipeg Construction Association, the Building Owners and Managers Association of Manitoba (BOMA Manitoba) and the Mechanical Contractors Association of Manitoba (MCAM).
