Todd MacAdam

Todd has been applying Lean principles to all areas of business for the past 12 years. He is the president of Lean Solutions Limited, a consulting firm that offers on-site workshops and implementation support in the areas of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Project Management, and Lean Product Development. Todd has helped transform companies in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, repair & overhaul; food processing; electronics manufacturing; pharmaceutical; and the airline industry. Todd is proud to have worked with many industry-leading companies including Michelin, Bombardier, Timken, Parker Hannifin, Pfizer and Singapore Airlines.

Todd is a professional speaker and educator and has delivered workshops and presentations on Lean Project Management for the Project Management Institute (PMI), Asia Business Forum, and the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) at their annual conference. He has also delivered workshops and presentations on other Lean topics for Saint Mary’s University, the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME-MEC). Todd’s presentations and workshops always receive excellent feedback, and his speaking skills continue to be in high demand with upcoming workshops and presentations for the Worldwide Conventions and Business Forums (WCBF), and PMI, including PMI’s annual North American Global Congress.

Cathy Byrnes

Cathy Byrnes has been facilitating highly energetic and motivational workshops since 2004. She is the sole proprietor of CoachCathy.ca, and as a Training Consultant and Life Coach develops her own programs individually tailored for each and every client. She delivers her own workshops as well as contracting out her facilitation skills for other training companies.

Her corporate background is principally in the areas of Finance, Management, Human Resources and Customer Service. She has enjoyed a diverse career with Canadian and multi-national companies. In her management role, Cathy was instrumental in the development of procedures for ISO9002 for a private company, the implementation from the beginning through certification and she became certified as a lead auditor. She later became part of the Quality Management Team responsible for maintaining ISO9002.

Cathy managed many other projects in her career, both alone and with a management team. She executed a huge multi-location fixed asset reconciliation, took the lead in software customization and implementation and coordinated the creation of a custom written accounts receivable ageing report program and collection system, among others.

Cathy Byrnes is fast becoming a well-known expert on Mind-Mapping in Canada. She was first introduced to Mind-Mapping when she studied Brain-Compatible learning and Neuro-Linguistic programming under some of the world’s leading experts, including Eric Jensen and Dr. Rich Allen. She has studied Mind-Mapping extensively through workshops and research including books by Tony Buzan, the man who has made Mind-Mapping famous throughout the world. Cathy includes Mind-Mapping as a part of many of her workshops covering a wide range of non-technical skills such as Communicating, Prioritizing, Negotiation, Customer Service, Making Connections in Business, Team Building and Leadership.

Cathy has presented Mind-Mapping to many Project Managers and Business Analysts in both symposiums and workshops across North America including Project World Toronto and Vancouver, Project Summit Philalelphia, Boson and Chicago and PMI Regina and Kansas City.

Cathy’s energetic personality, thirst for knowledge, positive outlook and open-minded approach make her workshops informative and fun! Her ability to connect with individuals and constantly flex to the needs of the group makes every workshop a unique and participant directed experience!

Darya Duma, PEng, PMP

Darya Duma, PEng, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner is a Vice-President with Procept, managing our project management (PM) consulting business, and is Quality Manager responsible for maintaining our ISO 9001 registration. Practice areas include PM methodology design, PM software implementation, and course design and delivery. Darya is a member of the PMI REP Advisory Board, and an ISO committee for a PM standard. She is Program Director for our 10-day Mechanical Contracting Project Management course at University of Waterloo, and she instructs our courses at several universities. Her corporate customers include Canada’s two largest nuclear electricity generators. She was a practicing Project Manager for over 10 years, with extensive international experience, including developing national and international standards for CSA and ISO, and managing elevator installations for a mechanical contractor.

Deri Latimer

Deri Latimer is an expert in possibilities for people. She combines a business degree with 19 years of experience ranging from the mining industry in northern Manitoba and the oilfields in southern Alberta, to the education and health care industries in the nation’s capital. Deri impacts individual and organizational performance, by applying the latest research and practice in positive psychology, appreciative inquiry, emotional intelligence, and employee engagement.

Brian H. Munroe, PMP

MTI Learning Inc.’s Founder and CEO, Brian H. Munroe, is a seasoned leader with solid sales management, customer service, account management and project management experience. He is currently a member of the Project Management Institute as a certified PMP and is active on the board of PMI’s Troubled Project Special Interest Group (SIG) as the Vice President of Information Technology. Brian has led many projects in the technology, education, financial, utility and health care sectors and together with the team at MTI Project Management, conducts Project Rescue consultancy services for many of these clients. As a skilled public speaker and trainer, Brian has had the opportunity to partner effectively with customers in Canada, the United States, and various regions in Asia and Europe. He is an expert at implementing sound project management principles and best practices and enjoys sharing his experiences with audience and students around the globe.

Mark Moore, BSc., PMP, MBA

MARK MOORE, BSc., PMP, MBA is the president of Moore Seminars Inc. Mark is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with more than 18 years experience in various Information Systems positions.

Over the years, Mark has developed extensive experience in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing of Manufacturing and Financial application projects.  Mark developed and taught the popular PMP Exam Preparation Course along with other course to people from more than 15 countries.

Mark holds a B.Sc in Computer Science from York University, a Graduate Diploma in Management (GDM) and an MBA ITM from Athabasca University. He has also earned a Master’s Certificate in Information Technology Project Management from George Washington University.

David Zinger

David Zinger is a Winnipeg-based presenter with twenty-five years experience in education and training. He is an exceptional presenter whose workshops and presentations are inspirational, current, informative, entertaining, and practical.

He is passionate about employee engagement, strength based leadership, Crucial Conversations and Influence. Participants appreciate David’s use of stories and his down-to-earth approach that invites participants to take action on the skills they learn.

David customizes the delivery of workshops and presentations to meet the specific needs of each client. He has delivered workshops and presentations to both large and small audiences in public and private sector organizations across North America. He has instructed courses in Education Psychology and Continuing Education at the University of Manitoba for over 20 years, and has also developed two distant delivery certificate courses to teach adult educators for a consortium of Western Canadian Universities.

Walter A. Viali, PMP

Walter is a Project Management and Project Management Office (PMO) Management Consultant, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with a varied background in different industries, which has included several domestic and international assignments. Walter was also a Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) for many years. Principal Consultant and co-founder of PMO To Go LLC, a Project Management training and consulting company based in Houston, Texas (www.pmotogo.com), Walter has extensive knowledge and experience in Strategic Business Planning, Business Reengineering, Information Systems Planning, Portfolio Management, Process and Project Management, Project Management Office (PMO) implementation and Joint Application Development (JAD) session leading (approximately 4,500 hours of facilitation in the U.S., Europe and Asia in all phases of planning, application development, process redesign and problem solving).

He has significant experience in Process and Project Management assessments based on the Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Model (SEI CMM) and PMI’s Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3). Walter was an adjunct professor at the University of Houston College of Technology in the Project Management Faculty. He has been quoted in several trade journals and books over the years and has published articles on Business Reengineering and Information Technology issues.

Walter has made numerous presentations on Strategic Planning, Application Development strategies and Business Reengineering at several conferences, seminars, colleges and universities from 1987 up to the present. He has also delivered several presentations on Project Management topics to numerous PMI Chapters and at the PMI North American Congresses in Houston and Anaheim. Walter was a member of the PMI team that authored the first release of the PMI OPM3 assessment standard. He was President of the PMI Houston Chapter in 2007 and is currently on the Board of the PMI Clear Lake / Galveston Chapter. Walter was recently appointed by PMI to be the PMI Region 6 (South/Southwest U.S.) Component Mentor for 2011-13.
