PMI Manitoba hosts Certification Info sessions twice a year in the spring and fall. See Study Groups for more details.

Following is an example of our step-by-step plan to prepare you for the CAPM Certification Exam:

• STEP 1: Attend an information session and participate in a Study Group. Learning is focused on 'A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge' (PMBOK) with additional suggested readings.



• STEP 2: During the Self-Study Group period, participants are encouraged to complete the CAPM application and submit to PMI. For details on this process, check out Obtaining a Credential.



• STEP 3: In addition to the Study Group, participants can also attend a condensed PMP Exam Preparation course (this can typically vary from 2 - 6 days depending on the company offering the training). • STEP 4: Receive approval from PMI to write the Exam.



• STEP 5: Schedule and write the CAPM Certification Exam.



• STEP 6: Once the exam is passed, celebrate your success.
